Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program
Posted on 05/26/2021

Students enrolled in Botetourt County Schools are expected to read a minimum of 10 hours during the summer.  This year the schools are partnering with the Botetourt County Public Libraries.  Families will use the Beanstack app/website to log their time reading and may participate in additional activities provided by the libraries.

To log your 10 hours of reading go to Register for an account with Beanstack then choose to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge: Reading Colors Your World. Log minutes of reading to complete the 10 hour badge.  (Students may participate in as many badges and activities as they wish in the challenge but are only expected to complete the 10 hour one before returning to school in August.) Audio books and books read through the SORA app, on EPIC! or any other other electronic media can count towards hours read.

*Be sure to identify Greenfield as your school when you sign up.

*If you do not have a device and/or internet access, we can provide you with a paper log.

*Please email Mrs. Harris ( or contact the Botetourt County Libraries if you have questions.
